Candidates willing to get admission to the IIT Khargapur must first register for the entrance exams. Then appear for the entrance exams. Then take part in the counselling round. Pay the admission fee at the selected and the allotted college. This is how a student can apply for various courses offered at IIT Kharagpur.

Candidates willing to get admission to the BTech course must first register for the JEE Main exams. Then appear for the JEE Mains exams. Then take part in the counselling round and pay the fee at the selected and the allotted college. The fee must be paid timely to avoid the late charges.

IIT Kharagpur campus is quite safe and secure for students. The campus has CCTV cameras. Other safety and security measures are being taken for the college students. There are security guards at every entry and exit points. The security and safety is the utmost priority of college.

For admission to the IIT Kharagpur MBA program, candidates should achieve a minimum 90 percentile in the CAT exam.The minimum CAT percentile required for admission to the MBA programme at VGSOM (IIT Kharagpur) is 90 for the General category.
