Both IIT Kharagpur and IIT Bombay are among the top institutes to pursue a B.Tech. In computer Science and engineering. Here is a small comparison:
1. Raking: The IIT Bombay has been ranked 3rd by NIRF, whereas the IIT Kharagpur has been ranked 5th in the 2022 rankings.
2. Fees: The course fee is similar at both institutions, at around Rs. 8 Lacs.
3. Infrastructure: Both colleges have decent infrastructure. The campus at IIT Bombay is better and more student-friendly than IIT Kharagpur.

Give preference to NIT for CSE. Because placements in Mechanical are not satisfactory in any college. However if you are getting ECE or IT in IITs than think about the IITs.

You can appear for Jee Advanced for admission in Aerospace at IITs apart from that you can also think of IIST Thiruvananthapuram in kerala as it is solely dedicated to the study and research of Outer space and also It is mentored by ISRO.

Obviously, If you are interested in coding then check if you are getting CSE or MNC at some new iits like IIT Patna, Bhilai, etc. But if it is like I want any of the top old iits then for Non-core get ECE as it is somewhere midway between core & Non core and for government jobs go for EE as it is quite hectic to manage a core branch like ELECTRICAL with proficiency in coding. You can do webD or android development with EE but getting pro in DSA and CP will be little more tedious.
