However, some common topics taught in the first year of each specialisation are Mathematics, Indian Knowledge System, Physics Lab, Computer Programming, Engg. Analysis and design (design thinking based project)/Industry Oriented Problem and more.

Students interested to get admission to IIT Roorkee BSc courses are required to appear for the qualifying examination which is JEE Advanced. The registrations for the said exam are now live. Students who have qualified JEE Main are eligible to register for the exam. The last date to register is May 07, 2024 and May 10, 2024 for fee payment.

The total tuition fees for BSc courses at IIT ranges between INR 8 Lacs to INR 10 Lacs for course duration of four-five years, as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is, however, subject to changes and hence, is indicative. IIT Roorkee Placements 2023 is in progress. The highest CTC stood at INR 1.3 CPA and the highest International CTC stood at INR 1.06 CPA. A total of 500 offers have been made as of Day 2 of the placement drive. A total of 63 recruiters participated in the placement drive.
