For last year, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering was 5075 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission in IIT Roorkee.

The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) at IIT Roorkee other than General category are - 5783 for OBC, 3162 for SC, 1382 for ST, 2804 for EWS. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

IIT Roorkee BTech cutoff 2024 has been released across multiple specialisations. Based on the Round 5 seat allotment, the BTech cutoff scores ranged between 481 and, 7286 for the General AII India category students. Among all the BTech specialisations, BTech in CSE is the most competitive specialisation. The Last Round for Computer Science and Engineering is 481 for the General AI category.Furthermore, according to IIT Roorkee OBC AI category cutoff 2024, the Last Round closing rank for Computer Science and Engineering is 236. The IIT Roorkee cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 5 for BTech, Integrated BTech and BArch courses in the form of opening and closing ranks. As per cutoffs 2024, JEE Advanced rank is 19885 for the IIT Roorkee BArch course for General AI category. For female candidates in the general category under the All India quota, 19354 was the closing rank. For 2022 and 2023, the Round 5 closing cutoff was 17464 and 20728, respectively for the General category students. So, comparing the 2024 Round 5 cutoff with the previous years, IIT Roorkee witnessed a fluctuating trend for BArch.

B.Tech DS from IIT Roorkee is the good option against the Dual degree from IIT Mumbai. However if your son is interested in research and higher studies, then can go for IIT Mumbai for dual degree course.

IT JAM Fifth Admission List 2024 has been released for IIT Roorkee admisison to the MSc courses. As per the IIT Roorkee JAM cutoff 2024, the required score to get into IIT Roorkee for General All India category candidates varied between 52 and 232. Similarly, for the OBC AI category candidates, the required rank lie between 109 and 420.So, considering the previous year rank, one can easily get a call from IIT Roorkee with a JAM score of 232 under General AI category.
