IIT Roorkee charges a total of INR 8 lakh for BTech. These fees came from unverified sources. Students are urged to contact the admission office for information on the precise charge. In addition, students must pay the JEE Main application fee, which is INR 625 (for boys) and INR 325 (for girls) (for girls). For JEE Advanced, different category students must pay an application fee ranging from INR 1,400 to INR 2,800. The BTech programme is a flagship programme of IIT Roorkee which is offered in full-time mode. Students are required to apply for both JEE Main and JEE Advanced for admission to IIT Roorkee BTech. The aspirants must fill out the application form for JEE (Main) through the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA).

IIT Roorkee eligibility criteria vary depending upon the programme candidates are opting for. In order to apply for admission to the IIT Roorkee courses, candidates must first go to the websites of the organisations responsible for holding the relevant national entrance exams and complete the online application form. For students seeking admission at the Undergraduate (UG) level, students are required to apply for both JEE Main and JEE Advanced for admission to IIT Roorkee BTech course. To be eligible for the IIT Roorkee MBA programme, candidates need to possess a graduation degree/ professional qualification in any stream from a UGC-recognised university with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates). IIT Roorkee has 10 boy hostels, 3 girl hostels, and 6 hostels for married candidates. The campus has a new co-ed hostel, Vigyan Kunj. Hostels may accommodate Undergraduate and Postgraduate students, along with doctoral students. All the hostels have basic amenities like a cyber cafe, gym, Wi-Fi, water purifiers, common room, recreation room, mess, TV, laundry services, security and surveillance systems, etc. Students are assigned to hostels by the school administration after their freshman year. The hostels at IIT Roorkee are called Bhawans. Each Bhawan has a mess. Mess administration consists of a staff advisory, a chief advisory, and a student mess secretary. The hostel fee at IIT Roorkee ranges between INR 68,000 and INR 99,000. This annual hostel fee does not include mess charges.

IIT Roorkee offers four-year B.Tech, five-year B.Arch B.Sc-M.Sc, B.Tech-M.Tech, and BSMS integrated courses. At the PG level, IIT Roorkee provides two-year M.Sc. M.Tech, MArch, M.Des and MBA courses. The institute also offers a one-year PG Diploma and three-year Ph.D. courses to the students. IIT Roorkee has started two online Certificate programmes in Data Science, Machine Learning & AI. M.Sc. Is offered in six specialisations, and B.Tech in ten specialisations. The flagship programme of IIT Roorkee is B.Tech which is offered in full-time mode only across nine specialisations. The programme is offered for a duration of four years, comprising eight semesters.
