Yes, students pursuing MSc at IIT Ropar are not required to pay any tuition fee if they belong to the SC/ST category. The tuition fee exemption is applicable for all semester of the MSc programme. BTech is the flagship course of many IITs such as IIT Ropar. At the postgraduate level, Ropar IIT offers two to five-year MTech in different specialisations and a two-year MSc in various specialisations. The IIT Ropar also offers PhD courses to students. IIT Ropar offers UG and PG courses to students. At the UG level, the Indian Institute of Technology–Ropar offers four to five-year BTech in nine specialisations.

In addition to this, it also offers an integrated BTech programme. At the PG level, Ropar IIT offers two to five-year MTech in different specialisations and a two-year MSc in various specialisations. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar was established in 2008 as one of the eight IITs that was set up by the MHRD and the Government of India.
