With a rank of 2115 in JEE Advanced and an EWS rank of 208, you have performed exceptionally well.Whether you should go for electrical engineering in the top three IITs or computer Science in IIT Ropar depends on your personal preferences and goals.But I will sugest to go with old IIT .

The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for B.Tech. in Civil Engineering at IIT Ropar - Indian Institute of Technology other than General category are - 4427 for OBC, 2320 for SC, 791 for ST, 1851 for EWS. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

The cutoff trend for B.Tech at IIT Ropar - Indian Institute of Technology has been increasing in the recent years. In 2021, the closing rank for B.Tech. under general category for all India quota was 9702. In 2022, it increased to 10413. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 4254 to 4254 for OBC, 2155 to 2260 for SC, 960 to 1071 for ST, 1361 to 1844 for EWS. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

IIT Ropar - Indian Institute of Technology will release 6 rounds of JEE Advanced cutoffs for admission to B.Tech. The cutoffs will be released on a rolling basis, and the seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cutoffs will be based on the following factors:The JEE Advanced score of the candidateThe category of the candidateThe number of seats available in the courseCandidates must visit the official website of entrance exam to read clear instructions on how to proceed with the counselling process, once the round is released.

For last year, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering was 10413 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission in IIT Ropar - Indian Institute of Technology.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, opening rank was 9385 and closing rank was 10413. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 17320 and 17949. Admission to B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering in IIT Ropar - Indian Institute of Technology is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.
