The institute offers various scholarships like Merit-cum-Means, Institute-Free Studentship, etc. The institute offers Merit-cum-Means Scholarships to undergraduate students in Engineering and Technology. These are provided to about 25% of the students. The present value of Merit-cum-Means scholarship is INR 1,000 per month for General Category students and the recipient is exempted from paying tuition fees. The total tuition fee of the M.Tech programme is INR 27,140. The avaerage package secured after the compoletion of the M.Tech programme at IIT Ropar is INR 13.31 LPA. Considering the total tuition fee and the package secured this is a good return on the investement made. The fee mentionedc here is the total cost of tuition and is taken from unofficial sources.
