JoSAA Round 6 Seat Allotment for IIT Jammu admission 2022 to BTech course has been released on Oct 16. At the time of JEE Main registration and final seat allotment via JOSAA students must keep the following documents and information ready for a smooth application process:Valid email-id and mobile numberAcademic details related to the Class 10 and Class 12 qualifying examsScanned copy of category certificate (if applicable)Scanned copy of PwD certificate (if applicable)Scanned photograph and signature as per the specification mentioned by the NTANet banking/credit card/debit card/UPI details for application fee paymentAfter qualifying JEE Main, students seeking admission to IIT Jammu are required to apply for JEE Advanced.  Check out JEE Advanced Application Process 2024 here.

The total tuition fee for IIT Jammu is INR 8 lakh. Other than the tuition fee, students have to pay other one-time charges and those who opt for hostel facilities are required to pay an extra amount for it. This information is sourced from official website/ sanctioning body and is subject to change. To answer the second question of whether IIT Jammu BTech fee is expensive or not, the fee for all IITs is almost similar to each other. However, it is comparatively less than other top BTech colleges such as BITS where the BTech tuition fee goes up till INR 19 lakh. 

The vacant seats reserved for SC, ST and PwD candidates are allotted to the candidates of respective categories for admission to a preparatory course of one-year duration on the basis of relaxed admission criteria .Admission is given to the candidates in the preparatory course provided(i) the seats reserved for the respective category are vacant,(ii) candidates have not accepted a seat in the preparatory course earlier.All the IITs run preparatory courses of one year duration for SC, ST and PwD candidates intended to prepare them to pursue the academicprogrammeto which they have been allocated. At the end of this course, candidates are declared as ‘pass’ or ‘fail’. On successful completion of the course, the candidates are offered direct admission next year to the already allotted undergraduate course. Candidates admitted to the preparatory course are also eligible to appear in next JEE (Advanced) subject to fulfilling other eligibility criteria.
