You cannot pursue both a B.A. and a B.Tech (CSE) degree simultaneously at IIT, as they are separate programs. However, you can take a one-year drop, prepare for JEE during that time, and then pursue a B.Tech in CSE at IIT. After completing your B.Tech, you can then focus on preparing for the UPSC exam.

If you have to pursue B.Arch from IIT, than you need to qualify JEE MAINS specifically Paper-2 B.Arch/B.Planning there is no need to qualify JEE Advanced for this . Secure a valid score and meet the Joint Admission Board's eligibility criteria. IITs Participating for B.Arch are Kharagpur, Roorkee and Varanasi . You have to Focus on JEE Main Paper-2 syllabus, practice drawing and architecture-related questions, and prepare for the Aptitude Test.

Hello candidate.No, you cannot even think of getting admission to BTech CSE course at any of the IITs in India without appearing for JEE entrance exam. It is the first and foremost requirement for admission. You need to secure a really good percentile and rank in JEE (Main and Advanced) exam in order to book your seat there. After you get shortlisted, you also need to appear for the counselling process and then you may submit the important documents and pay the course fees to complete the admission process. For OBC-NCL applicants, the JEE Advanced 2024 cutoff differed by IIT and branch. For example, in some IITs, such as IIT Bhubaneswar for Electronics and Communication Engineering, the final rankings could reach 5157, although the starting ranks began at about 3944. While cutoff trends were comparable for other IITs, certain branches and IITs may have different cutoffs. Note that the cutoffs vary depending on the branch selected as well as the institute. It is advised to frequently review the official JoSAA updates for accurate information.

IITs are generally ranked higher than Jadavpur University in NIRF and other rankings. However, Jadavpur University is also among the top universities of India offering courses in various streams such as Engineering, Management, Arts, Science, etc. The university has been ranked at 9 in NIRF 2024 rankings under the 'University' Category. The university was also ranked at 12 in NIRF 2024 rankings under the 'Engineering' category. Students unable to get into IIT can considers Jadavpur University for its Engineering courses.
