For taking admission to Electronics Engineering courses at the IITs, you should be able to meet the eligibility requirements. For UG courses, you should have at least 75% marks in Class 12 in the PCM subjects. If you belong to the reserved category, the marks eligibility requirement is usually relaxed to a certain extent. Also, you have to appear for the JEE Main and JEE Advanced exams. You should work very hard and get a good rank in JEE Main to be eligible for JEE Advanced, which serves as the final call for admission.After you successfully secure a decent rank in JEE Advanced, you will have to appear for the JOSAA counselling process where you will be allotted a seat according to your rank at one of the IIT branches in India. Similarly, for PG courses in Electronics Engg., you should meet the eligibility criteria of 60% marks in your bachelor's degree in the same or related field and clear the GATE exam. The good news is, if you are an IIT graduate with a CGPA of 8 or above, you need not give the exam and are eligible for direct admission to the M.Tech course at a few IITs.
