Past academic achievement does not guarantee you a seat in IIM But yes they matters in overall selection procedure. First you have to score 99+ percentile in CAT and have to perform well in GD and PI to get into IIM A/B/C. Getting a call from an IIM is not a big deal but converting it is herculean task. The GATE cut off is depends upon various factors as listed below and varies yearly and institute wise. The following factors will be considered during the preparation process of GATE cutoff for IITs and NITs:

2. Previous years cutoff trend
