Dear Student, above mentioned IITs are on top. Now it depend on you only which branch you are going to take. If you have decided any goal in your life then choose according to it only. As per your marks, you have cleared the basic eligibility criteria for IIT.
But to get admission in IIT, you have to clear JEE-Advanced with a decent rank to get admission in your dream branch. So, all the best for future.

No, you should not take a drop of 2 years to appear for JEE Main for admission in NIT or IIT. For seeking admission in IIT, you have only two chances.

Nothing is required to float from slide, documents are only required when you freeze the allotted seat and also when at the time of admission you need all the documents mentioned in the JoSAA information bulletin.

The minimum qualification for admission to the Ph.D. programme is a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised University with minimum percentage/CPI specified by the Institute.
