You can get any IIT college but it all depends on the branch you want. If you want CSE, then you can get IIT Tirupati, IIT Palakkad, IIT Goa, IIT Dharwad, IIT Bhilai, IIT Jammu, etc. So, it all depends on which branch you want. All IIT colleges are good and better than many other colleges.

You can get ECE in only two IITs, one is IIT Bhubaneswar and second is IIT Dhanbad. You can opt to take other branch in top IIT and then, go for branch change but keep one thing in mind that every IIT don't provide branch change facility.

There are about 12K seats in all IITs put together. Out of these, only 50% are available for general candidates. Your son's rank is 10K. So you can imagine where he stands.
However, to help you I am attaching a link that will predict an IIT for you-

Hello, hope you are doing well.
No, you need to score 75% without any back in 12th class. Then only will you be eligible for JEE Advance counselling. If you failed in physics, you must clear that exam and if secured 75%, then only you will get the best JEE Advanced college under category quota SC.

Hi Sourabh,
All the top 5 IITs (Bombay, Delhi, Madras, Kanpur, Kharagpur) are having an excellent campus and are at par with BITS Pilani in terms of academics, pedagogy and infrastructure. However, IITs have a more favourable and desirable atmosphere for research in the field of CSE. At BITS, you may not get that sort of environment of research. But, when it comes to freedom, flexibility and exposure, BITS does have an upper edge. At BITS, you get more exposure and chance of enhancing your knowledge in diverse directions. Otherwise, both BITS and IITs are at par with each other. Take your decision accordingly.
All the best.

After JEE Advanced, the procedure is quite simple! Just wait for the results to come. Once the results are out, there will befilling up of choices online. Then comes the mock seat allocation, in this process you will get to know which seat you will get according to your preferences. Then you will have 1 day time to change your choices if you want. Then the first round seat allocation takes place. Now comes the main part, document verification. You need to go to the nearest IIT and get your documents verified. If all your documents are verified, then your seat will be confirmed. Congrats.
The procedure is same for NITs too. Hope this ans
