To be very honest, life doesn't end without getting into an IIT. So if you want your brother to start a fresh with B.Tech. In IIT I'd say, it's really not a good option. Answering the question, first of all IITs do not entertain mid program joining so he'll have to start fresh. Second, if he really wants to enter IIT whatsoever then he should prepare for the JEE Mains and Advanced, get a rank and Kudos. He is in IIT. But he still has to fight, life is no simpler in IIT and the struggle is real.

To get M.Sc (biotechnology) in the mentioned institutions, you need to complete B.Sc and then qualify JAM. On the other hand, you can also sit for JEE Advanced for IITs and IISc and IISER aptitude test for IISER, but it is for integrated B.Sc+M.Sc.

For getting into IITs, you need to have a good percentage in 12th along with it first you need to clear MAINS and then Advance along with a good Rank within 5000 - 6000 for getting into a good IIT college. If you fulfill the above criteria you will receive calls from IITs.

There are a number of colleges where you can do a course in M.Sc from. Please refer to the link provided below for a list of M.Sc. courses in India. However, you have a good percentage in your second year and if you study hard, you have a good chance of cracking the IIT JAM, so give it your best.

Hello Ashif,
The admission into IITs for post graduate management course is done through CAT exam. For post graduate engineering programs, you need to clear GATE exam with a good score while for M.Sc and other such courses, IIT JAM scores are used.
