80% of success in IIT depends upon hard work and only a 10% depends upon the sharpness of mind, rest depends upon your destiny. Work hard for 2 years and you will get where you want and deserve. Never give up if you think that's not what you wanted.

If you are in 11th standard, this is the best time for you to start preparation.
You should take care of these points:
1. Join a coaching if needed.
2. Don't collect to much study material.
3. Find a mentor.
Best of luck.

Yes, you can. The process is same as that of a plus two student. Write the JEE and get a good rank. But it will be very difficult for a student from Diploma to write JEE. The reason is simple, you won't be studying all the subjects which are main for JEE. You will study one particular topic in Diploma, when coming to JEE, the situation is different so there you need all the subjects. And at the same time you will lose one year compared to all the other students because the Diploma course is for three years where as the plus two is two years.

IIT, Varanasi is among the top 6 public sector engineering colleges in India and has great reputation for its excellence in placements and faculty for all the different branches of undergraduate programs that they carry out.
This question is a little more complex to answer because of the fact that you have not mentioned any of the branches for departments in particular that you want to know the status of placements for hence I would consider all branches at an overall to answer this question.
The college supports best of the placements being an Indian Institute of Technology and one can be assured that he or she is in the best hands in
