IIT Goa is not classified as a Tier 1 college. It is not ranked by any ranking body currently. The opening and closing ranks for BTech in Mathematics and Computing Engineering at IIT Goa for the General category under All India were 5214 and 5555 respectively. Additionally, IIT Goa offers a two-year M.Tech programme in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, and Electrical Engineering, with a total of 36 seats across these specializations. Admission to the M.Tech programme is based on GATE scores and COAP Counseling. The institute was established in 2016 and offers UG, PG, and PhD courses across Engineering and other streams, providing placement assistance to students
