Hi,
Since the cutoff seems to be changed every year we cannot predict the exact cutoff but in general it seems to lie between 80-90 marks for general category students to have a valid rank in JEE advance.

In majority of IITs, the eligibility criteria for admission in M.Tech is minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% of marks or first class in the qualifying degree of Bachelor in engineering. You will have to appear in GATE exam to seek admission in IITs for M.Tech.

This is a myth that state board students are weaker as compared to CBSE and ICSE ones. But the reality is strikingly opposite, in fact people from state board are going for IITs. So, don't get disheartened, prepare for it. As far as the eligibility is concerned you need to be in 20 percentile to get into IITs.

You need not to pay extra to your institute other than your regular fee if you switch to any IIT or any other college.

Hi,
Yes, you can take admission in IIT in variety of courses. Like, say, if you want to take admission in B.Tech then you have to appear in IIT JEE.
If you want admission in M.Sc then JAM exam:

If you want admission in M.Tech then GATE exam is there for entrance.

Well both are very different exams, but mainly in India scholars prefer IIT, because in SAT colleges are very expensive.
