IIT Tirupati offers a two-year M.Tech programme across various specialisations. Admission to this programme is subject to a valid GATE score followed by COAP Counselling. The specialisations available under MTech include Civil & Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering and Electrical Engineering. These specialisations are also offered across multiple sub-specialisations under these streams. IIT Graduates and GATE qualified candidates can apply for any of the MTech specialisations.

For the exact fee, students can reach out to the admission office. Candidates need to pay the programme fee after completion of the selection rounds to confirm their seat in the institute. Other than this, students are required to pay the JEE Main application fee which is INR 625 (for boys) and INR 325 (for girls). For the last year, i.e., 2023, the closing rank for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering was 3701 which is very close to this range. This was for General category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission, however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission in IIT Tirupati - Indian Institute of Technology.

The cutoff trend for BTech at IIT Tirupatihas been increasing in the recent years. In 2022, the closing rank for BTech under General category for all India quota was 15176. In 2023, it increased to 16658. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 5062 to 5635 for OBC, 2497 to 2875 for SC, 952 to 1199 for ST, 2244 to 2564 for EWS. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for Engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories, however, the ranks are slightly different.

The cutoffs will be released on a rolling basis, and the seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The opening and closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, opening rank was 13974 and closing rank was 16658. Cut off are differant when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. Admission to B.Tech. in Civil Engineering in IIT Tirupati is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE Advanced. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.
