YES! You may be eligible for government colleges. But obtaining a scholarship is difficult. Since you will be sent to a college based on your rank and counseling after passing the IMU CET. You might be eligible for MTI if your rank is high enough. From then, Shipping Corporation of India will sponsor you. On the other hand, obtaining sponsorship on your own is nearly impossible if you attend a college where no businesses are present.

Congratulations on completing your 12th grade and applying for the IMU CET! If you are interested in pursuing a Graduate Marine Engineering (GME) program, it is a good idea to start exploring sponsorship opportunities. Here are a few factors to consider when deciding whether to apply for sponsorship now or after graduation:
Sponsorship Availability: Research the companies or organizations that offer GME sponsorships. Some companies prefer to sponsor candidates before they start their GME program, while others may offer sponsorships during or after completion of the program. Look for information on their websites or contact them directly

IMUCET is for Indian national only. For foreign students, admission to IMU campuses in UG/PG courses will be done through "Direct admission to students from abroad (DASA) scheme" of ministry of education. Each year ministry nominates a central university/ Institute to become the nodal agency to coordinate all for admission.

Not sure about your rank but, no one knows the minimum marks required to qualify it. In the end all we get to know is our rank. A PDF file is published on the IMUCET website which enlists all the candidates who have qualified the CET along with their rank, name, application number, category. You also get a pdf of rank Certificate.
