No, you can not get direct admission to IMU Chennai. However, To gain admission to B.Tech at IMU Chennai (Indian Maritime University), candidates must pass the Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test (IMU CET). Therefore, direct admission to B.Tech at IMU Chennai is not possible; candidates need to clear the IMU CET to secure a seat in the B.Tech program.

IMU gives a helping hand to all students by approving the requests of students to avail various benefits under scholarships given by Centre & States But IMUC itself dosent provide any scholarship from it's own end. Indian Maritime University Chennai helps students who are eager to earn a higher degree and do research in any area of study. The scholarships and awards are offered on the based-on merit and other backgrounds. Various state government agencies offer a post-matric scholarship for OBC, ST, SC, and Minority Communities. And also it was based on their marks their previously scored .

The top recruiters are Bruhart Logistics, Cisco Shipping and DB Schenker, Tokyo Freight, and Good Rich Logistics.IMU offers various undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs to students who wish to pursue a career in the field of marine.
