Eligibility 10+2/equivalent (PCM Average – Minimum 60% with minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th / 12th Examination). Maximum age: For Male : General-25 years, OBC (NCL)-28 years, SC/ST-30 years For Female: General-27 years, OBC (NCL)-30 years, SC/ST-32 years.A Diploma in comparable engineering courses with at least 60% marks is a must. To be eligible, applicants must have a grade of “C” or above from an authorised university. IMU Kolkata admission to all the programmes is conducted through the Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test (IMU CET) Only unmarried candidates, up to the age of 25 years are eligible to apply for BTech programme.

For the Admission to UG and PG courses is done on the basis of cut-off in IMU-CET entrance examination conducted by the university. Admission criteria for B.Tech. Marine Engineering is minimum of 60% marks in PCM and minimum of 50% in English in 10+2 and have qualified IMU-CET. These entrance exam is conducted by the university .Candidates under all categories must appear for the IMU's Common Entrance Test (CET) and qualify in order to be eligible for admission to this program. You have to score above 70% for getting a seat in IMU Kolkata because ther is very few seats available. The eligibility criteria is as pe University 10+2 or equivalent with minimum 60% aggregate in PCM and minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th/12th examination.but with 70 %younhave to wait for the second list for your addmission. With 70 % in 12 th class you give IMU- CET entrance exam for scholarship and addmission .Admission to UG and PG courses is done on the basis of cut-off in IMU-CET entrance examination conducted by the university. IMU Kolkata offer only one Undergraduate program which is Bachelor of Technology courses. The fee for the B.Tech course at Indian Maritime University, Kolkata is approximately INR 2.25 lakhs per year. This fee includes various charges such as tuition fees, hostel fees, mess charges, and others for the entire duration of the course. However, the total fee structure for Bachelor of Technology in Marine Engineering is INR 10,00,000 for 4 years. The duration of the course is four years. The fee structure for Bachelor of Technology lateral entry course is INR 635000. The Actual fee may vary.

Yes, IMU Kolkata is more expensive than SEC - Seacom Engineering College.The fee for Bachelor of Technology at SEC - Seacom Engineering College is INR 2 L to INR 3.4 L (for 4 years). On the other hand, the fee for Bachelor of Technology at IMU Kolkata is INR 10 L (for 4 years). The fee for Master of Business Administration at SEC - Seacom Engineering College is INR 2 L (for 2 years). On the other hand, the fee for Master of Business Administration at IMU Kolkata is INR 4 L (for 2 years).
