Yes, when you want to become a marine engineer it is obvious that you will be serving on the ship that could be sailing for many days without any recourse to good medical advice or facility. Hence DG shipping has laid down strict medical guidelines to be followed by all the institutes which are offering this course. It goes without saying that the students will be tested based on these standards before they are admitted for Marine engineering course.
