Even after doing B.Sc. Or B.Tech, you won't get a job in shipping companies if you are not sponsored. Getting sponsored means, getting passed in shipping companies exams which they conduct before the IMU exam. Now you have 2 choices wait 6 months and then fill forms of shipping companies to do DNS or do B.Tech from private colleges like Tolani as there are chances you will get a job. If you can wait for 6 months. You can go to websites of shipping companies like Anglo Eastern, M.Sc. Wallem ship management, Fleet management etc. And fill their entrance test form. As of now, if one wants to become a Marine Engineer, the best way to do it is by pursuing. B.E./B.Tech. Marine Engineering course right after 12th science stream schooling (with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects).
