You just need your basics to be as clear as possible. See, stick to the class 12th syllabus mostly. For Maths, coordinate, algebra, little bit complex number, calculus and integral calculus is enough. For physics class 12th syllabus is enough, although I would recommend you to study class 11th materials too. I was personally never confident about my class 11th concepts. For Chemistry, do the physical chemistry properly.

The selection process differs from institute to institute. Mostly, it is in the form of entrance test. It can be followed by GD, PI, psychometric test or medical examination depending on the institution. Direct entry may also be allowed by some institutions. Some institutions like C. V. Raman College of Engineering, Bhubaneswar offer direct entry alongside entrance test. Regards.
