Application Procedure for IMUCET 2018:

Candidates can fill the IMUCET 2018 application form through online mode from the website. The application form will be available from the 1st week of April 2018 till 2nd week of May 2018. Candidates have to upload their scanned photograph, signature, 10th Mark sheet photocopy & category certificate (SC/ST). Candidates should download and print filled-in application in standard format. After the successful submission of the application form, automated e-mails/SMS will be sent to the candidates. Regards.

It's held in June, maximum of the times every year. Before applying for the exam, you need to have a passport and medical fitness certificate by Doctors approved by Director General of Shipping. Appearing candidates can also apply but they have to qualify their examination on or before May 31, 2018. The other criterion is physical fitness.
Candidates, those seek admission to marine courses (DG Shipping-approved courses) have to produce a medical fitness certificate which is approved by the Director General of Shipping. Candidates with Disability (DA), are not eligible for admission to marine programme. Candidates have to be physically fit & meet the medical necessities as specified by DGS guidelines.
Eye Sight:
Candidates must have good binocular vision. Their vision should be 6/6 (normal) in each eye separately. Candidates joining B.Tech (Marine Engineering) degree course, their vision should be unaided 0.5 (6/12) in each eye or 0.67 (6/9) in the better eye and 0.33 (6/18) in the other eye. Those who applied for DNS, B.Sc (Nautical Science) & B.Sc (Maritime Science) degree course, their vision should be unaided 1.0 (6/6) in the better eye and 0.67 (6/9) in the other eye.

Personal Interview:
Shortlisted candidates are called for personal interview based on marks obtained in IMUCET, the panel also looks for any extracurricular achievements of the candidate.
If applications received between 26 April and 31 May 2018 then candidates do not have to appear for the personal interview.
Final Selection
Candidates are selected based on the10+2 marks, IMUCET rank, marks obtained in TMISAT, medical fitness as per DGS norms and performance in personal interview. Regards.
