Yes, you can get into the Indian Maritime University, Chennai-Mumbai Campus MERI with 70% in IMUCET. The eligibility criteria for admission to the B.Tech (Marine Engineering) programme at the IMU Mumbai Port campus states that candidates seeking to enroll in the programme must score at least 60% aggregate in PCM and a minimum of 50% marks in English (in both Class 10 and 12). You have decent PCM score and Average Board Percentage. Moreover, it depends also upon how well your interview went.As far as your admission in Tolani is concerned a decent PCM percentage would be anything above 60 %. If you score nearly between 40 to 50 in TMISAT, there's a high chance of you being appreciated. IMUCET rank below 2000 is always acceptable and reputed .

Candidates desirous of getting admission to Affiliated Institutes of IMU / other DGS-approved Maritime Training Institutes (MTIs) affiliated to other universities may directly approach the College / Institutes of their choice after obtaining the IMU CET rank certificate issued by IMU.

Automated e-mails/SMS is sent to every IMU CET registered applicant on successful registration of the application. After the IMU CET application fee is paid, candidates can check the dashboard for printing the online form. The online filled-in form must be downloaded for the candidates' reference. Do not send the printout to IMU.

IMU CET counselling registration is open and the last date to register is June 26. IMU conducts the IMU CET counselling in online mode for admission in 6 campuses of IMU. Shortlisted candidates are called for appearing in the counselling. Candidates have to go through various stages which are registration, choice filling, seat allotment, document verification, fee payment etc.
