I think no, because ITO exam require graduation, and till now IPCC is not considered as graduation. Moreover, permission from ICAI should be taken before enrolling for any other course. Thanks.

Apart from the regular fixed pay, an Income Tax Inspector also enjoys a bunch of perks, benefits and allowances. According to current pay scales, you will get a salary of around 40,000/- per month initially. The salary can vary according to the location you get posted. Regards.

n order to become an Income tax officer you need to apply for the Indian Revenue Services exam which is also known as IRS. The other way is to give a Staff Selection Commission Exam. To be eligible for the exam you should have completed a Graduation Degree from any stream from a recognised university. The age should be between 18 years to 27 years. 3 years age relaxation for the OBC and 5 years age relaxation for the SC/ST Candidate. To become an Income Tax Officer, one should first of all enter the Income Tax Department as Income Tax Inspector or Tax Assistant. Then, they can get promotion to the designation of Income Tax Officer after qualifying the departmental examination. First step required for joining as Income Tax Inspector or Tax Assistant is to qualify Combined Graduate Level examination. In order to become an income tax officer, you should get into Indian Revenue Service. To get into IRS, you need to clear your civil service examination which is conducted by UPSC.
