With the increasing number of advanced cardiac surgeries, such as coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), heart valve replacements, and organ transplants, private hospitals are continually expanding their cardiac care departments. Perfusionists play a crucial role in these procedures by operating heart-lung machines and ensuring that proper blood circulation and oxygenation are maintained during surgeries. As private healthcare facilities adopt cutting-edge technology and offer specialised treatments, the need for trained perfusionists has risen.
