Dairy technology is a branch of food technology or food Science. But many universities now offer specialised dairy technology courses. If you take a dedicated dairy technology course, you will have a lot of knowledge about milk and dairy products. But in food Science or a good technical course, you have to study many subjects such as dairy technology, beverages, fruit and vegetable processing, grain processing, meat and poultry, etc. So, in food Science or technology, you'll be very knowledgeable about all types of food, including dairy.
