Hi,
Ideally one should study in an ICAR recognized college, if studying agriculture. ICAR & UGC are two different apex institutions. UGC has role in traditional education while ICAR has it in Agriculture Education. You cannot get government job if they mentioned ICAR affiliated universities only. But, you can get a job where they demand only graduate and with no special condition of ICAR recognition.

The ICAR admission cutoff is varying according to colleges and candidates categories. However, if you belongs to general category your ICAR score should be above 425 for admission, while for OBCs and SC/ST this should be above 400 and 300 respectively. Hence, your chances are very less.

ICAR Qualifying cut off to qualify the entrance examination, general and UPS aspirants must have secured at least 50%, while that for SC/ST/PC students, it is 40%. Candidates securing more than or equal to the minimum qualifying ICAR cut off marks will be included in the merit list. Qualifying exam: You should have passed (or appearing) 10+2 exam from a recognized board. Your aggregate score should be at least 50% (if you are belonging to general / OBC NCL / UPS category) or 40% (if you are belonging to SC / ST / PC category). Age and nationality: You should be an Indian national. Thank you.
