Dear Omityah, I have no idea about the UGC recognition of the Indian Institute of Counselling but being alumni of Lovely Professional University I can say that LPU is UGC recognised. In India, LPU is recognised by the University Grant Commission (UGC), the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), and the Council of Architecture (COA) and approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). To work as a psychologist you need to have proper knowledge and degree of that field. And if you have done mbbs then it's a far better option why choose something else

Yes you are eligible. the eligibility criteria of Post Graduate Diploma in Psychological Counselling is Graduates in any discipline can apply. Psychology background is not mandatory.
