The Indian Institute of Mass Communication Aizawl, also known as IIMC Aizawl, was formally inaugurated as the East Regional Centre of IIMC on August 8, 2011. IIMC Aizawl students work for a wide range of international, national, and local news organisations, such as Reuters, WION, PTI, The Times of India, The Indian Express, Mathrubhumi, and Malayala Manorama. There are 37 seats available at Indian Institute of Mass Communication IIMC Aizawl for the PG Diploma programme. The only two courses that IIMC Aizawl now provides to students are the Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Media and the Online PG Diploma in English Journalism. Admissions to IIMC Aizwal for the upcoming academic year will soon be available. For updates, students can visit the college's official website. Moreover, aspirants can follow Shiksha for additional updates. The results of the entrance exam determine a candidate's admission to the course. The IIMC entrance test is administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in order to grant admission to PG Diploma programmes. For admission, candidates can apply on the official websites of the NTA and IIMC. For each course, the application fees are Rs 1,000 for general applicants and Rs 750 for SC/ST/OBC/disabled/EWS applicants.

The IIMC entrance test is administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in order to grant admission to PG Diploma programmes. Those who pass the entrance exam are given consideration for admission to IIMC. In addition to the CUET (PG), the National Testing Agency (NTA) employs the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) to administer the computer-based IIMC Entrance Exam. After passing the IIMC entrance exam, candidates must attend a personal interview (PI). Those who pass both stages are granted admission to a variety of IIMC courses.
