The college offers good placement opportunities for students as it is the premier institute for mass communication in India. Almost all news agencies, news channels, radio companies, advertisement and PR agencies and PSUs hire students from IIMC. Top news channels like IBN7, Headlines Today, Star News, NDTV, India TV, Times Now visit the campus for recruitment. Radio channels like Red FM, Radio Mirchi, 95 FM come every year to recruit talented individuals from IIMC

The scholarship is based on the performance in the entrance exam. Following are the scholarships awarded by the college:
1. The Rati Aggarwal Scholarship will be awarded to a meritorious female student of the Hindi Journalism
Course, based on her performance in the Entrance Exam.
2. The Star TV Scholarship will be awarded to a meritorious student of Radio & TV Journalism, based
on his / her performance in the entrance exam.
3. The Achin Ganguly Scholarship will be awarded to two meritorious students of Advertising & Public
Relations, based on their performance in the Entrance Exam & final result after completion of the Course.

IIMC only offers Post-Graduation courses and other diploma courses. It doesn't Offer Graduation Courses.
There are various other Universities in Which you can take admission after 12th.
