No, it is no possible to seek admission at IISc for M.Tech without GATE exam.  Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore offers a four year M.Tech in various specialisations including Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and others. Admission to all the courses at IISc is completely entrance-based. The aspirants are admitted to M.Tech at IISc based on scores in GATE exam followed by COAP counselling. For the purpose of Applying for the BSc programme in the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore one requires the minimal of the following: a pass in 10+2 certificate with 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics. The application procedure is normally through the month of February and normally ends in April. The answer to this question depends on the course you are applying at IISC.For Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programme, aspirants are offered admission based on JEE Main score. Hoewever, for BSc programme admission,  JEE is not compulsory. Candidates with a valid score in IISER Aptitude Test can also get admission. For other courses such as MTech, MSc and PhD, JEE Main is not required for admission at Indian Institute of Science (IISC).

The university accepts various national-based entrance exam score as per course requisite. For BTech, IISC Bangalore accepts JEE Mains and JEE Advance score. M Tech admission selection is only through GATE. M Des admission selection is through GATE/CEED followed by a Design Aptitude Test and interview; M Mgt admission selection is through GATE/GMAT/CAT followed by a group discussion and interview. After screening based on the GATE/CEED scores, design aptitude test, and interview will be conducted by the department. Selection will be based on performance in the written test and interview. Weightage will be 70% for GATE/CEED score and 30% for the test/interview.
