The National Institute of Ranking Framework (NIRF) has ranked IISER Bhopal as 60th in the overall category for the year 2023. The placement report for 2023 is not available. However, NIRF has released the placement report for 2022. According to IISER Bhopal NIRF Report 2023, the median package offered during IISER Bhopal BS and BS-MS placements 2022 stood at INR 17.5 LPA and INR 6.5 LPA, respectively.From the above-mentioned information, candidates can choose between IISER Mohali and IISER Bhopal.

The students in the BS-MS programme at IISER Mohali receive the INSPIRE or KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana) fellowship as long as they perform well.
