Hello Nishar Ahmed, it's a very tough query to answer. There are different reasons. Firstly it's an institution where research in basic Science is the motto. This makes it unfit for normal recruiters. Secondly even students do not want to get placed not only after graduation but even after PG as almost every student opts for PhD. This results in very skewed ratio of just handful of students out of more than 100 getting placed. Frankly speaking, no one joins this place for getting job after undergraduate postgraduate or doctoral studies. Research oriented work is preferable to students. Hence many get opportunities to even work abr

Hello Manjunatha, perhaps I am hearing for the first time that someone doing Ph.D. or intending to do it is enquiring about placements. Normally speaking, one associates placements with graduation and not even PG. This is so since opportunities gets thinned out. Also by then one has invariably worked at few or many establishments and can negotiate better. Hence I feel that you should not worry about it. I am sure, even before completion of your Ph.D. you will get job offers. This is so since prospective employers always keep on the look out for highly qualified professionals. Best wishes to you.
