IIT (BHU) Varanasi brags of 14 departments and 3 inter-disciplinary schools. Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University admission to the BTech in  Electrical Engineering is based on JEE Advanced scores, followed by the JoSAA counselling process. During the IIT BHU cutoff 2023, the Round 1 and the Last Round closing ranks were 3358 and 3534, respectively for the General All India category candidates. IIT Varanasi offers several UG, PG, and doctoral courses in Engineering & Technology, Science, Architecture, and Pharmacy. These include BTech, MTech, BArch, MSc, MPharma, and PhD. Admission to BTech is based on JEE Main followed by JEE Advance. M.Tech admission is based on GATE scores.

JEE Main counselling schedule is released by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority after the declaration of the JEE Main result. The counselling shall be conducted in the months of June and July, tentatively. There seat allotment process is carried out through JoSAA counselling. Students securing the required marks in JEE Advanced become eligible for participation in counselling for admission to NITs, IIITs and other GFTIs including IIT BHU.

As of the moment, NTA has not disclosed the dates for JEE Main 2024. It is anticipated that the official notification will be unveiled in the initial week of December 2023. Historically, the examination has been conducted in two sessions, typically in January and April. A comprehensive timetable will be provided within the official announcement.

Yes, IIT Bhu provides scholarships. Merit-cum-Means scholarships are offered to 25% of undergraduate students, and there are also endowment scholarships available. Other forms of financial aid are offered in the form of Institute free studentships, scholarships, reimbursement of mess charges and pocket allowances to students belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. M.Tech. and M.Pharm. students receive financial assistance equivalent to Junior Research Fellowships, and a large number of Junior/Senior Research Fellowships are offered to PhD students, with efforts being made to offer scholarships to all eligible PhD candidates
