The admissions procedure for the BTech programmes at IIT BHU is open to students who have successfully finished their Class 12 education from an accredited board with an overall score of 75% or better. Class 12 graduates can also apply to the Indian Institute of Technology BHU for undergraduate programmes. BTech, MTech, and MPharma undergraduate programmes are offered at IIT BHU. Admission to all of these undergraduate programmes at IIT BHU is decided through national entrance exams, with students being chosen according on their performance. IIT BHU also provides doctoral-level courses and Diploma programmes.

It's not a requirement to live in the IIT BHU hostel. When enrolled in IIT B HU, you have the option to select different housing arrangements like other hostels, rooms, or PG accommodations based on personal preferences. Although the hostel has good amenities and there are a total of 16 hostel with beautiful gardens.

There are a total of 16 hostels, including iconic ones like Rajputana Hostel, honoring renowned Indian mathematicians and scientists.  IIT BHU is one of the largest IIT campuses in India because to its enormous 1300-acre campus. 14 departments and three interdisciplinary schools are housed on one large campus, which offers 64 unique courses at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. It has a total of 16 hostels and the library has more than 139,871 volumes of books, journals, theses, reports, standards, and pamphlets, the library is home to an excellent print collection.

The total tuition fee for the M.Tech programme at IIT BHU ranges between INR 40,000 - INR 4 lakh. The the highest, average and mean package offered was INR 40.18 LPA, INR 21.89 LPA and INR 24.11 LPA during IIT BHU placements 2022, respectively. Considering the total tuition fee and thje package secured this seems to be a good return on the investment. This is thye overall package and not specific to M.Tech programme.

IIT BHU's placement season in 2022 saw remarkable success with over 1,000 job offers extended. Among the highlights were 305 Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs), and an impressive 308 companies participating in the campus recruitment drive.
