For NIT you may get admission in 80,000 rank as well but you need a high rank to get into a decent NIT for that rank up to 15000 would do depending upon the trade you are interested.

Yes the college offer lot of sports.Football is also one of them.They also have a training facility.They do not participate in league but they have many inter-college events.

DMS IIT D short-lists candidates based on the cumulative score of 10th marks, 12th marks, graduation marks, CAT score, work ex and additional qualifications (if any) for GD and PI, giving due weightage to each component. You have decent 10th marks, 12th marks and graduation marks, and a fairly good amount of work ex. It is difficult to comment on the CAT score required to get short-listed since it is the cumulative score which matters therefore, with such a profile you do have chances of getting a call.
