Yes, IIT Bombay offers Merit-cum-Means Scholarship to UG students. It is awarded to a maximum of 25% of sanctioned intake. For Dual degree, it is available only up to fourth year. Merit Criterion: For new entrants of BDes their UCEED Rank, will be the criterion. In subsequent years, the criterion will be their academic performance during the preceding academic year.Means Criterion: The parental income is the basis for the ‘means' criterion of the scholarship. However, the overall the highest international and domestic package offered during IIT Bombay placements 2023 stood at INR 3.67 crore per annum and INR 1.68 crore per annum, respectively. Additionally, the average package offered during IIT Bombay placements 2023 stood at INR 21.82 LPA. Yes, IIT Bombay accepts UCEED score for BDes admission. The category-wise rank obtained in UCEED indicates the candidate’s position in the respective category at the time of the result declaration. A merit list is released with the names of shortlisted candidates. The shortlisted candidates have to register for counselling with a non-refundable application fee of INR 4,000. They have to provide their institute order preference. The institute conducts three rounds of seat allocation. The seats are allocated based on the applicant's All India Rank in UCEED 2024. A minimum of Class 12 is required to apply for BDes course at IIT Bombay. Below is the detailed eligibility:Candidates should have been born on or after Oct 1, 1999., if belonging to Open/ EWS/ OBC-NCL Category and on or after October 1, 1994, if belonging to SC, ST or PwD Category.Aspirants should have obtained a rank in UCEED.
