IIT Bombay is among the most popular institutes to pursue a design course in India. So, it is no surprise that cut-off for admission to the institute is pretty high. For instance, for the academic session 2022-23, the Round I cut-off rank for the Open category was 16. The category-wise cut-off ranks for OBC-NCL category was 14, while the cut-off was 5 for SC and 3 for ST. Note that cut-off tends to get lower as we move from the 1st to the 3rd round of seat allotment. This happens because if there is any vacancy, it is allotted to the candidate next in the order of merit.
