Most students complete their Masters in statistics from ISI, based on marks secured in Bachelors. Post your Masters in statistics, either you end up getting lofty pay packages in the corporate world or interested folks can go for a Ph.D.

If you love Mathematics, Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) B.Maths is the right degree course for you. Admission in B.Maths is based on entrance examination conducted by ISI. Eligibility criteria to seek admission in B.Maths is 10+2 years of Higher Secondary Education (or its equivalent) with Mathematics and English as subjects of study. Students who are Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO) awardees of any previous year need not sit for the written test to seek admission in B.Maths and they would be directly called for interview. The course has no fees. All students who are admitted in degree course get stipend of Rs. 3000/- p
