The official mock tests are meant to be taken in the last few weeks before the UCEED 2025 exam. So, you shouldn’t typically take mock tests at the start or even middle of your UCEED 2025 exam preparation. The logic being mock tests are not designed to help you improve your problem-solving ability nor your time-management skills. In fact, mock tests are meant to help you get a exam like ambience before the exam and understand what is like to be inside the exam centre. That being said, mock tests designed by some coaching institutes are more comprehensive and might help you build problem-solving ability and time-management skills. 

If you consider the question paper of UCEED 2023, then the exam can be considered to be moderately difficult. For instance, of the 68 questions asked, around 18 questions fall in the moderate category, 18 in the moderate to difficult category, while the rest can be tagged easy to moderate. In contrast, NIFT and NID DAT are considered to be tougher. This is because in NID DAT, more weightage is given to subjective and drawing-related questions. Consequently, the candidate needs to be very creative and have strong fundamentals to answer the questions. In NID DAT for the B. Des programme, DAT Prelims carries 40% weightage, while DAT Mains carries 60% weightage. 

The UCEED (Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design) entrance exam pattern is as follows:- Duration: The duration of the UCEED exam is typically 3 hours.- Mode: The exam is conducted in online (computer-based) mode.- Sections: The question paper is divided into three sections: Part A, Part B, and Part C.- Type of Questions:   - Part A: Multiple-choice questions (MCQs) that assess candidates' analytical and logical reasoning abilities, visual perception, and observation skills.  - Part B: Multiple-select questions that evaluate candidates' design aptitude, creativity, drawing, and visualization skills.  - Part C: Questions that assess candidates' ability to communicate and express their thoughts and ideas through a written response.- Total Marks: The UCEED exam is generally out of a total of 300 marks, with different weightage for each section.- Marking Scheme: The marking scheme for the UCEED exam varies across sections. There may be negative marking for incorrect answers in Part A, while in Part B and Part C, marks are awarded for correct answers, and no negative marking is applicable.- Syllabus: The UCEED syllabus covers various topics, including visualization and spatial ability, observation and design sensitivity, environmental and social awareness, analytical and logical reasoning, language and creativity, design thinking and problem-solving, and drawing.It's important to note that the detailed exam pattern, including the number of questions, marking scheme, and syllabus, can be found in the official UCEED notification or website. The CEED 2024 participating institutes will open the application form for counseling on their respective official admission portals. The step-wise admission process to the M.Desprogrammeis given below:The candidate needs to check CEED 2024 results.Candidates who have qualified CEED 2024 exam, or have been assigned a merit rank are eligible to apply to CEED 2024 participating institute.The participating institutes will start the counseling application form soon after CEED 2024 results are declared.The candidate who have qualified CEED 2024 exam and also meets the eligibility criteria prescribed by the participating institute need to fill in the application form before the last date.The participating institute will shortlist applications based on the merit rank of the candidate.The instutite may also conduct further admission rounds before final seat allotment.
