The VIT School of Design (V-SIGN), Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, is not a participating institute of UCEED. In fact, in the previous edition of the exam, the institute was a result-sharing institute. Note that the list of UCEED result-sharing institute is updated every year. So, it cannot be confirmed just yet whether VIT School of Design will be a result-sharing institute of UCEED 2024 or not. It the institute joins as one of the result-sharing institutes, then it will allocate some seats in its UG programme on the basis of UCEED 2024 scores.

The result-sharing institutes of UCEED 2024 will offer admission to some of their B. Des seats based on UCEED 2024 scores. However, they will not participate in the Joint Admission Process conducted by IIT Bombay. There were 22 result-sharing institutes for UCEED 2023. Since the participate institutes do not participate in the joint counseling conducted by IIT Bombay, the candidate needs to apply to them separately. Note that the participating institutes will also accept scores of other top exams like NIFT and NID that to offer admission to their design courses.

Candidates who have qualified UCEED 2024 do not have to apply separately to each participating college. Instead, IIT Bombay will conduct a joint counseling for the participating institutes. The online registration for counseling will open sometime in March 2024. Candidates who have been allocated a merit rank in UCEED 2024 are eligible to participate in the counseling-cum-seat allotment. As part of the registration process, the candidate needs to enter their choices of colleges in the order of priority.
