Information Technology Eligibility

Several UG-level Diploma courses are available at the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology, Imphal. The prerequisite for admission to the Advanced Diploma in Computer Application Accounting and Publishing is completion of the 12th grade or its equivalent from any accredited school or board. The candidate must have passed their 10+2 in any stream from an accredited board in order to be eligible for the NIELIT MAT-O Level (Diploma in Multimedia and Animation Technology). The candidate for the Diploma in Computer Applications must have completed their 12th grade or its equivalent from a board or accredited institution. A 12th grade pass and a basic knowledge of computer and internet is required for candidates to apply for the Advance Diploma in Computer Application Accounting and Publishing.

The eligibility criteria for UG Diploma programs at the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Shimla varies depending on the specific program. However, there are some general requirements that all applicants must meet.Educational QualificationApplicants must have passed their 12th board examinations from a recognised board or university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.For SC/ST students,  the minimum percentage requirement is 45%.In some cases,  NIELIT Shimla may also consider applicants who have passed their 10th board examinations with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate and have completed a one-year Diploma course in a relevant field from a recognised institution.Age LimitApplicants must be between the ages of 17 and 22 years as on July 1 of the year of admission.
