Yes, you can get admission in middle and lower order NITs like NIT Patna, NIT Jalandhar, NIT Jamshedpur, NIT Durgapur etc. You should apply for branches like IT, electronics engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering etc. Getting CSE in NIT with this rank will be difficult. Hi Samrat, sorry to say but you won't be getting any stream in IEM with this rank. The overall closing rank for IEM generally remains below 50k rank in JEE Mains. However, there are a lot of private engineering colleges in West Bengal and you will get your desired stream in many of those. You can use the Shiksha College Predictor tool to predict your college. Alternatively, if you want admission in IEM only then you can opt for management quota.

You can get admission in IEM. You will probably not get CSE but can get other branches like IT, ECE, EEE, EE or ME. In IEM only 10% seats are allotted for admission through JEE Main. So, it depends on luck.
