IEM takes admission through WBJEE and JEE Mains and not through any other joint entrance examination. Your rank should be between 700 to 800 (GMR) to get into IEM. IEM offers 12 seats for mechanical students through JELET. Usually, if seats get vacated at the end of the first year and there will be a chance of admission through JELET. In Techno India Salt Lake City for lateral entries eligibility criteria is that a candidate should have minimum 60% aggregate in Diploma in engineering.
Hope this helps.

HIT-K is one of the autonomous college in West Bengal. It has been ranked recently as top most private college in West Bengal. For lateral entry, college takes admission through JELET based by WBJEE board. For electrical branch, you need to get rank within 3K to 4k. There are 36 seat break up in Heritage Institute of Technology for lateral. The counseling process may differ year to year, so you can go through counseling process and wait patiently for results.

Hello Alok,
There are different versions of looking at NIOS but in the end it has been established by courts that students of NIOS are as good as others and hence can seek admission in any course provided of course they fulfil other criterias if any. So you can definitely seek admission in IEMS.
