According to Times of India it is reported that total number of 70,000 seats were allocated for the B.Tech students at the Institute of Engineering and Technology AKTU. However only 30,000 candidates have registered and the rest 40,000 remain vacant after several poorly-resourced engineering colleges shut, culling thousands of seats.In 2021-22, AKTU had 1.34 Lacs BTech seats, according to the Times of India 44,384 seats remained vacant.
