The highest package offered till now for B.Sc. students at Institute of Home Economics DU is around INR 3-4 LPA and the average salary package offered is INR 2 LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies Haldiram's, Coca-Cola, Nestle, Mother Dairy, FSSAI, etc. The average placement rate of the college is 60%

Guru Nanak Institute of Technology offers an average package of INR 4-6 Lacs per annum for MCA students. But the maximum salary that can be offered can be 10 to 12 Lacs per annum. The college has a pretty good placement record, and each year approximately 70%- 80% of MCA candidates are placed. Some of the leading recruiters in the country are Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and so on. The trend poised for MCA salary package is comparatively stable and there is an ascending percentage of annual increment in the scale of about 10-15%. 20+ companies participated in the placement drive at the Institute of Home Economics DU. Some of them are Deloitte, E&Y, JP Morgan, adani, ICICI Bank and ITC etc. The college provides placement for graduates, post graduates and also doctorates .The package is also well defined to the skills of each candidate.

The minimum eligibility criteria to be admitted in the Institute of Home Economics DU as per the latest news, the candidate must get 50 percent of marks. Some cutoff marks according to specializations are 724 for B.Sc good technology and 708 for B.EI.Ed and 724 for journalism out of 800. These cutoffs also depend upon the category.

The maximum marks are 800 and getting 700 above is a good score, which will be in the category of 95+ percentile.The lowest marks is of 480 as the cutoff. The cutoff will be different for different branches like 95 percentile for B.Sc microbiology, 83 and above for biochemistry 89.5 above for journalism and 83.5 percentile for B.Sc home sciences.
